The Lost & Founder project was a collaboration with Rand Fishkin, Portfolio, and Penguin Random House. We started with several rounds of illustration ideas for what the hand-drawn charts and titles would finally look like. From there, I drew all the charts Rand provided, offered some options for each one, and worked to a final.

For the cover design, Rand had some ideas about what he wanted, and I suggested a few ideas of my own, and we worked until we had designs to present to Portfolio. From there, we narrowed the options until we reached a final layout. We tried several color schemes, icon swaps, and fonts until it was approved. It was a great experience working with everyone.
